Feast of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal – 27 November
From July to December 1830, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared three times in Paris to a young novice of the Daughters of Charity, Sister Catherine Labouré — who would later be known as Saint Catherine Labouré.
During these sacred encounters, Our Lady revealed the design of what would become the Miraculous Medal and entrusted Catherine with the mission of having it made and spread throughout the world.
The Miraculous Medal Annual Novena takes place from 18–26 November, with the feast day celebrated on 27 November.This novena invites you to draw upon the graces Our Lady promised to those who turn to her through the Miraculous Medal.
NOVENA PRAYER
O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of Our Lord Jesus and our tender Mother, filled with the deepest confidence in your all-powerful and unfailing intercession—so often shown through the grace of the Miraculous Medal—we, your trusting children, humbly beg you to obtain for us the graces and favours we seek in this Novena, provided they lead to the good of our immortal souls and of those for whom we pray.

You know, O Mary, how often our souls have been the dwelling place of your Divine Son, who abhors all iniquity. Obtain for us, then, a true detestation of sin and that purity of heart which binds us to God alone, so that every thought, word, and action may be directed to His greater glory.
Grant us also a spirit of prayer and self-denial, that through penance we may restore what has been lost by sin and at last reach that blessed home where you reign as Queen of angels and of men.
Amen.

ACT OF CONSECRATION TO THE MIRACULOUS MEDAL
O Virgin Mother of God, Mary Immaculate, we consecrate and entrust ourselves to you under the title of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal. May this Medal be for each of us a sign of your tenderness and a continual reminder of our duties towards you.
As we wear it, may we remain under your loving protection and in the grace of your Son. O powerful Virgin, Mother of our Saviour, keep us close to you throughout our lives. Obtain for us, your children, the grace of a happy death, so that, united with you,we may rejoice in the glory of heaven for all eternity.
