"Oh, what great graces I will grant to souls who say this Chaplet. Write down these words, my daughter. Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize my unfathomable mercy". (Diary, 848)
Brendan O’Neill was a very successful businessman who comes from a very religious family. His mother, in fact, had always a great devotion to Divine Mercy and was a great friend of Fr. Berchmans Walsh, who was the first priest to promote Divine Mercy in Ireland.
In 1995, Fr. Ronald Pytel was only 48 years old. He had resigned himself to an early death because of the terrible condition of his heart. His heart was so damaged that even a short walk left him exhausted and he needed to rest most of every day.
Ugo Festa was born in Vicenza, Italy in 1951. He was struck down at an early age with multiple sclerosis. Gradually his health deteriorated. This led to many other problems in his young life. By the age of 39, he was suffering from multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy and epilepsy.
Before the age of 15, Maureen Digan enjoyed a normal healthy life as an active teenager. Then suddenly, she was struck down with a slowly progressive but terminal disease called Lymphedema. It is a serious cancer which causes massive swelling of the limbs.
Miracles are God’s way of amazing people so as to prove to them that His actions or the actions of one of His many servants are authentic and worthy of belief. Jesus was never a showman and often worked His miracles quietly and without publicity. In fact, He often requested that those who received a miracle to say nothing to their family, friends or community. As we know, this request was often ignored. But Jesus used His miracles to help people to understand that He was the Messiah, promised by God to the Jewish people in the scriptures they read every day.
