Pilgrimage

On our pilgrimage, we will visit with the Brothers of Merciful Jesus. This congregation was founded because Jesus asked St. Faustina to start a new congregation whose charism would be to pray for mercy and to tell the world about the unfathomable mercy of God.

During the time we will spend with the Brothers, we will have some talks on Divine Mercy, confession and Mass. We will also have some time to meet and talk with the Brothers as we will have our lunch with them in their monastery in Vilnius.

One of the purposes of our pilgrimage to Vilnius is to increase our understanding of the message of Divine Mercy. This is one of the main reasons we spend time with the Brothers of Merciful Jesus. Every year the brothers give our pilgrimage group a special talk on Divine Mercy Devotion which inspires everyone who hears them talk. They also have a special and traditional reconciliation service so everyone on the pilgrimage has the time to examine their conscience and go to confession.

After our talk and the special reconciliation service, everyone has the opportunity to attend Mass in the monastery chapel. This Mass is truly special and holy, and the Brothers homily is always inspiring. There is some time after Mass for personal prayer before lunch.

After our morning’s talks and prayers, we will have lunch with the Brothers which will give us some time to talk with the Brothers and get to know them a little better. Everyone always really enjoys there lunch. We will generally spend about an hour having lunch and then we return to the bus to go to the next pilgrimage site.
