Divine Mercy came into the world with the Sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross and the possibility of resurrection and everlasting life for all who kept His commandments. This was the message (Divine Mercy) he wanted the apostles to spread to the ends of the earth. Blessed Sopocko said, spreading the devotion and the entire message of Divine Mercy among all he met will be the main driving force in me for the rest of my life, supported by the endless Mercy of God”. (Journal, n. 2, p. 50, 54) This should be the spiritual force in all our lives, helping Gog to bring others to everlasting life. Saint Augustine said if you bring one soul to God you predestine your own.

Jesus openly embraced his followers while remaining entirely aware of human limitations and betrayals. In the Gospel of John, it is noted that Jesus “did not entrust himself to them, This is generally understood as divine awareness of human flaws rather than emotional mistrust or fear.

Despite knowing exactly who would betray or abandon him, Jesus chose to trust the apostles with his core mission. He eventually entrusted his entire mission to disciples who frequently doubted and failed him. But He knew that if they felt that he was entrusting them with such an important mission they would not betray His trust and so they walked thousands of miles each on his own, making new disciples as they went to spread His message to the four corners of the Globe.
