When you buy from Divine Mercy Publications, you are contributing to works of mercy with orphaned and abandoned children. These children, living in horrific conditions in the orphanages and streets of Romania and Moldavia, are now being helped by Divine Mercy Publications Apostolate, through our Divine Mercy in Action Foundation. The Foundation is called 'HELP US DRY THE TEARS'. When you buy from this site, you are contributing to this cause, and works of Mercy.
Romania and Moldavia are known in the world as the land of orphans and abandoned children since 1989. Still after all this time, the world is doing very little about it. I have witnessed first hand the conditions of hardship suffered by these children. Poverty of both a spiritual and material nature. Lives without love and hope. Many of the children, some as young as seven years, live in sewers and streets like animals.
During the winter months, when temperatures can reach minus 30 degrees, many children die from exposure, disease and malnutrition. They go deep into the sewers to find the only warmth they can.
Our 'Help Us Dry The Tears' Foundation has opened a house in Bucharest, which is called 'House of Divine Mercy'. In this house we have a Doctor, three religious sisters who are trained as nurses, and volunteers to help bring God's Divine Mercy to these poor children. Here they have a dry and secure home. They are given medical aid, food, clothing and education, but most of all they are given love.
